Anti-climb perimeter for a zone substation

A substation perimeter has to do two jobs that pull against each other. It needs to stop someone getting over it, and it needs to let crews see the switchyard for inspection without opening anything up. On top of that, the boundary runs across a mix of surfaces, gravel apron on one side, concrete hardstand at the entry, open ground at the rear, so the same system has to terminate cleanly against all of them.

The boundary is anti-climb welded mesh, powder-coated black, on matching posts, with barbed topping carried on extension arms above the panel line. The narrow aperture gives no toehold while staying transparent enough to inspect through. Vehicle and pedestrian gates were built in the same system so the entry reads as part of the fence line rather than a bolt-on. Inside the compound, timber post-and-rail delineates plant and access routes where a security barrier isn't needed but a physical edge is.
